The next time you’re out and need to know a phone number, you can turn to your BlackBerry browser for help.

Global Directories (formerly known as Caribbean Publishing Company), publishers of the TCI Yellow Pages, recently launched its mobile application that is available on all cellular phones with a browser. At the touch of your fingers, customers now have access to all the numbers available in the Yellow Pages.

The new mobile Yellow Pages is free, and company representatives say TCIYP.COM was developed to address the needs of a growing cellular telephone market across the country as well as the need to find information anytime, anywhere.

Using TCIYP.COM is as simple as typing in the address, www.tciyp.com, into the cell phone browser and then follow the prompt to find a business or a residential listing. Then search by entering the name or category of business and get a list of names and numbers that fulfill the search criteria. By selecting a name or number listed, the user will be able to connect directly to the party.

“TCIYP.COM is our newest response to the needs of the users of our directory — which is also available online at www.tciyp.com,” said Bill Forster, managing director of Marathon Design Works TCI Ltd., local agents for the Yellow Pages.

“We evolve as time goes by, especially because we recognize that technology is changing and so too is people’s need for quick and accurate information. TCIYP.COM will not replace our existing print or online directory. It will only complement them and provide another platform to access hundreds of business and residential listings,” Forster said.
