His Excellency the Gov. Gordon Wetherell has named Consultative Forum member Lillian Swann Misick as chairperson of the body that advises the governor and his Advisory Council.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Lillian Misick as the new chairperson of the Consultative Forum. I look forward to working with Mrs. Misick in her new position, and benefiting from her advice and recommendations of the forum on a wide range of important issues,” the governor said in an announcement April 6.

Misick has been a member of the forum since it was formed in August. As chairperson, she will preside over monthly meetings of the forum, which meets next on April 13.

Misick is a trained graduate teacher who served in the Education Department/Ministry of Education for 23 years as teacher, principal, and senior education officer. She has operated her own business for 22 years. For the past nine years she has served as manager of the Small Business Division of TCInvest.
