FSC sets training seminar PDF Print E-mail

The Financial Services Commission the Commission is hosting a training seminar May 21 for compliance officers, money laundering reporting officers and other individuals with similar responsibilities.

The FSC said the seminar is part of its “commitment to assist licensees in the process of implementing the new international anti-money laundering standards and procedures.”

The seminar will be held at The Sands Hotel in Providenciales, facilitated by the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services and The Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers.

The seminar will focus on legislative developments and international best practice in anti-money laundering prevention, money laundering typologies and countering terrorist financing.

The commission anticipates the seminar will be the first of a series of training exercises aimed at upgrading standards in the financial sector.
