The 1st Annual Turks and Caicos Friends of the Arts Foundation Art & Craft Expo 2010 will be held Nov. 20 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Turtle Cove Marina. The expo will bring together the local talented artisans from the Turks and Caicos Islands under one tented roof — painters, photographers, sculptors, designers, bakers, printmakers and canndlestick makers. It’s truly an “Art for the Family” event with island music and lots of tasty treats to eat as you browse the stores full of fantastic art and crafts for sale. Club Med Beachfest Club Med has teamed up with Hannemann Events to re-launch Beachfest, a series of semi-annual Olympic beach volleyball clinics at variety of Club Med’s stunning locations. From Nov. 7-14, Club Med Turkoise invites you to share your common passion for sports, nurture your athletic skills through guidance from elite professionals, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Crimestoppers invites you to party the night away at Beaches Resort and Spa on Saturday, Nov. 20, to support the group in their crime stopping efforts. The 7th Annual Turks and Caicos Conch Festival takes place Nov. 26-28. The event kicks off on Nov. 26 with the official opening party, Jazz on the Lawn at The Somerset Resort featuring the sounds of smooth jazz by TCI’s own jazz musicians and a gourmet conch dinner! Then from noon to 6 p.m. on Nov. 27, we’re calling all conch shell blowers, conch connoisseurs and everyone in between to the Three Queens Bar & Restaurant in Blue Hills! Sample an assortment of conch dishes made by some of the best chefs on island all competing for the prize conch shell trophy. Bring your entire family because there will be something for everyone — live music, cash prizes, kids games on the beach and of course lots and lots of conch.
