Police seek driver of vehicle that struck 2 officers PDF Print E-mail

Police are asking for the public’s help in apprehending the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured two police officers who were jogging along Industrial Drive early July 15.

The driver did not stop the vehicle but fled the scene.

The male and female officers suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for treatment.

The officers have since been released from the hospital, police said.

Police are asking that anyone with information that might relate to the accident to contact police at 941-3327, 946-4259 or 911.

Two men charged with sex crimes in separate cases

Police have charged two men with sex crimes in separate incidents in Providenciales.

One man was charged with unlawful carnal knowledge in connection with a report made June 6.

Another man was charged with rape in connection with a report made May 25.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Magistrate’s Court to answer the charges.

Dozen suspects arrested for various offenses, no details

Police announced July 18 that they arrested 12 persons over the weekend for various offences ranging from aggravated burglary to handling stolen goods.

However, no further details were given.

Man charged with burglary, other offenses on July 4

Police on Providenciales have charged a man with aggravated burglary, handling stolen goods and wounding in connection with a report made July 4.

His name was not released.
