Man dies from injuries in 2nd murder of 2011 PDF Print E-mail

A 52-year-old man found Sept. 10 in an isolated area on South Dock Road on Providenciales died of injuries in what police say is the country’s second murder of the year.

Police say they have a “subject of interest” in custody in the slaying of Celestin Louidor. An autopsy was being performed to determine the cause of death.

The police Criminal Investigation Division is appealing to the public for any information they may have about the case. They can report information to police through 911, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 or www.crimestoppers.tc.

The country’s first homicide occurred July 20 at the Sailing Paradise Bar & Restaurant on Bay Road in Blue Hills.

Santa Ramirez Suarez, 29, originally from the Dominican Republic, was shot and killed while she was at work at the popular restaurant. Police have said the shooting occurred during a robbery.

Four Turks and Caicos Islanders have been charged with murder and other crimes in the slaying.
