Bringing the adventure and charm of North and Middle Caicos closer to tourists on Providenciales, Caribbean Cruisin announced the launch this week of its new Discovery Tour and Treasure Hunt excursions.

Starting Nov. 1, visitors to the Turks and Caicos Islands will now have the exciting opportunity to tour and discover the hidden treasures of North and Middle Caicos along with a local guide for one all-inclusive price.

Encompassing eight alternative tours, the Discovery Tour and Treasure Hunt will give adventure seekers a chance to visit the islands’ most interesting sites, including local businesses. More than just an excursion, the adventure will also include a treasure hunt.

Guests will be given a keepsake treasure map of North and Middle Caicos with natural and historic sites. Along with a guide, adventurers will experience many of the treasures the islands have to offer.

The excursion includes resort or villa pick-up on Providenciales, and transportation to the TCI Ferry, where the adventure begins. Guests will receive a charm bracelet outfitted with their very own TCI JoJo charm. Additional bracelets are available for purchase for $29.95 in the ferry terminal.

The guests will then travel on the TCI Ferry to the island of North Caicos, where arranged rental vehicles will be waiting. The tour guide will take travelers to the islands’ natural treasures such as Wades Green and the Middle Caicos caves. The tour includes stops at various local businesses to meet the real charms of the islands — their people. At each stop, guests will receive a unique charm to add to their collector bracelet.

Caribbean Cruisin has partnered with the TCI Tourist Board to promote this important initiative to expand tourism on the sister islands of North and Middle Caicos.

“This excursion is a shining example of people working together,” says Caribbean Cruisin partner Ferrington Gardiner. “The Tourist Board, the companies on North and Middle and our organization all play an important role.”

Individuals and groups can book their tours with their resort concierge or directly by calling Caribbean Cruisin. Group excursions can be accommodated and can be customized to the desires of each group.

“There are so many things to do, one day is not enough to see it all, so we will adjust the tour based on what each group would like to see most,” explains Lindsey Gardiner, the tour coordinator. The tours are day tours, which include lunch at one of a variety of local restaurants on the islands of North and Middle Caicos.

“Our goal is to bring as much business as possible to North and Middle Caicos, while at the same time meeting the desires of tourists to experience more of our beautiful by nature islands,” he said.
