The Providenciales Chamber of Commerce is offering training in online marketing and communication to local businesses looking to make the most of an Internet presence.

An introductory workshop will be held March 15, followed by an advanced session March 19, both at the Windsong resort in the Lower Bight.

Chamber members get a discounted rate of $35, but non-members are welcome too for a $50 fee.

Chamber membership not only gives discounts on its workshops, but its monthly meetings give members only sessions with government officials on important issues and with business experts who can provide advice and answer questions important to local business.

At its March 5 meeting, Digicel CEO and chamber Vice Chairman E. Jay Saunders explained to members how brand, service and value can help a business in competitive markets, especially important in financial hard times.

Chamber meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, when pertinent issues are discussed with invited guest speakers.
