A Grand Turk man has been sent to 12 months in prison after pleading guilty to causing the deaths of two friends by dangerous driving, police said. Robert Bart, 21, was the driver of a black Jaguar X-type car that lost control and crashed in North Ridge on Lighthouse Road in Grand Turk on Jan. 12, 2009. Passengers Brandon Harris, 19, and Lea Lewis Astwood Jr., 20, were both killed in the crash. All three were students at the Grand Turk Community College.
