In a statement released to the press this morning, H.E. Gordon Wetherell announced the members of the Advisory Council, who will assist the newly appointed Chief Executive, Martin Stanley, to replace the previously elected government. The complete list includes:

 

Mr Joseph Connolly (Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd)
Ms Edith Cox
(Vice President of Graceway IGA)
Mr Theo Durham
(Civil Engineer)
Dr Carlton Mills
(Previous Minister of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture)
Mr Eugene Otuonye (Chairman Public Service Commission)
Mrs Doreen Quelch-Missick (Human Rights Commissioner)
Mr John Smith (CEO Turks and Caicos Airport Authority)

 

In addition, the Council will consist of the following Ex-officio Members: Governor, Deputy Governor, Chief Executive, Attorney General and Permanent Secretary/Finance. Members of the Advisory Council will be sworn in today, August 18, 2009 at Government House, Waterloo, Grand Turk.
